Dynamics of Pakistan’s rice and export’s boom

 Pakistan is the top exporter of rice in this century. An increase in export is seen and also development is seen due to producers, consumers, and merchant capitalists. There are some important factors like the government has taken serious steps to introduce new varieties and Pakistan has exported many varieties to the world (Irri-6, Irri-6 Sella, Irr-9, Irri-9 Sella, Super Fine Basmati, Sella 1121 Kainat, SuperKernel Basmati & Super Kernel Basmati Steam). The second factor is other country’s government also takes initiative to strengthen the exports.   For example, Turkish –PM has announced a pledging scheme for rice.

Pakistan can export in huge quantities and can increase the economy. Basmati is a major product of Pakistan and generates revenue for the government. Pakistan’s government has adopted new policies that promote rice’s production. The above-mentioned varieties are grown in Sindh and Punjab. Basmati is grown in Punjab. Rice exporter association said that they want to declare the rice sector as the industry of Pakistan. This will enhance export and allocated 30% as high value. Last year, Pakistan has exporter USD 2 billion – annual export value. Pakistan’s competitive countries are Brazil, USA, and Thailand.

The government has implemented new policies to increase the export and quality of the product. As you know that industry is the production of items and with services, it’s divided into more categories like primary, secondary and tertiary when mechanism and agricultural economics forms and engaged to achieve high-quality output Super Kernel Basmati. According to research, scientist says that the balance of nitrogen and phosphorous controls the growth.   For optimal and good quality, we need to add good minerals. Rice production is expected to see more improvements in Quality as compared to 2018. Punjab province and other regions have supported to recover the cultivation without any delay. In Asian countries, people don’t consume rice in excess quantity. In African countries, rice consumption is high.

According to the forecast, the production of rice will fall in 2019-2020. Pakistan will continue dominating its export. Pakistan will remain a big exporter. China is the biggest buyer.
